Part II · The Method
Endurance is a game of efficiency.
The MONS method builds robust endurance athletes.
That efficiency is built on the pyramid of performance. Mobility is the foundation, strength is the middle layer, and endurance is the peak.
Mobility is the foundation because a body that has to fight itself just to move cannot be efficient. Full range of motion enables the body to move as it evolved to move.
Strength is how you apply force to move yourself. It requires power, structure and coordination across the whole body. A mobile body without strength just leaks energy, which kills efficiency.
Endurance is your ability to move oxygen, fuel and waste in and out of your muscles, hour after hour. To resist the fatigue that compromises your quality of movement. If you compromise the quality of movement, you lose efficiency and risk injury. That's why endurance must be built on a mobile and strong body.
But movement without purpose is meaningless.
That's why the MONS method gives you bigger and bolder challenges. Not to find where you break, but to inspire you to build a body that can go anywhere, anytime. To move freely in the world.
